POLICE are urging the public to be cautious after prescription medication was reported to have been stolen in St Helens.
Officers received a report at around 1.45pm yesterday, Friday, that 28 x 3.75mg zopiclone tablets had been taken from a bag on Church Street between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Thursday.
Prescription medication was also reported to have been stolen in Newton-le-Willows overnight.
Officers received a report at about 9.15am today that 150 x 300mg gabapentin tablets had been taken from a car parked on Beechwood Avenue between 9pm and 9am.
Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, prove fatal.
Anyone who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station or call officers on 101.
