IN answer to the letter writer who asked can Windle Island cope with Liverpool’s Superport?
My answer: Of course it can. Any truck driver worth his or her salt knows the best route to the M6 from Seaforth dock Liverpool 2 is via Church Road then on to Dunnings Bridge Road.
That will take them to Switch Island, then for for M6 North just go on the M58 which will take them to the M6 Northbound.
Alternately they can take the M57, then the M62, which goes on to M6 south.
Or if they are travelling East just stay on M62/M60.
So really there’s no need travel along the East Lances Road.
Years ago when all the docks were closing people were up in arms about all the redundancies. Now that the new Liverpool 2 project has opened some people are still not satisfied.
I think this project is good for this area.
