A CELEBRATION of the older generation takes place in St Helens libraries this Friday (September 30).
A range of activities will be on offer tomorrow to celebrate old people and their role in the community.
At Central Library there will be a Macmillan Coffee Morning from 10am to 4pm, with the Healthy Living Team on hand to provide information and advice from 10.30am to 11.30pm.
There will be advice and a demonstration from the U3A from 10am to 12pm. Jigsaw Club is on from 1pm to 2pm and a Reminisce Karaoke starts at 2pm until 3pm.
Meanwhile, Eccleston Library will also be marking International Older People's Day with adult colouring and mind-boosting puzzles from 2pm.
Rainhill Library is also celebrating the day from 2pm while Newton-le-Willows Library will have an adult jigsaw session and colouring and puzzles from 2.15pm.
