POLICE officers have found the body of a 54-year-old man, who is believed to be from St Helens, in a lake in Delamere.
Cheshire Police was called to reports of concerns for the safety of a man who had been seen near to Hatchmere Lake at 12.40am on Sunday, April 3.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the local area and at approximately 2pm on Sunday officers recovered a body from the lake.
The body is believed to be that of a 54-year-old man from St Helens, although formal identification has yet to take place.
A police spokesman said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
