Do you remember the fountain that used to be in Church Square?
KES the Kid Eating Snake was hugely popular with children in the Hardshaw Centre in the 80s.
Robbob captured this picture of demolition work on the gas tower on Jackson Street. It was a dominant feature on the St Helens skyline for decades until it was demolished in 2012.
Helena House was the fashionable place to be in the town centre. People of a certain generation still say its demolition was a travesty. Wilko now stands on the site.
The demolition of Knowsley Road was a sad day for Saints supporters.
St Helens old covered market in the town centre was always bustling with shoppers.
Providence Hospital closed in 1982. Generations went through the doors and many were seen by the legendary Sister Duffy.
