A new 60-second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has dropped, focusing on the film’s terrifying new villains.
The action-packed trailer shows baddie Kylo Ren leading the Stormtroopers into battle, but the identity of the Dark Side’s new commander, Supreme Leader Snoke, remains a mystery.
Fans, however, were treated to more of their evil master-apprentice relationship as the clip overlaid battle scenes with an ominous conversation warning Ren that even he isn’t prepared for what is coming.
“There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?” asks Snoke, voiced by Andy Serkis, portentously.
“Even you have never faced such a test. It is time,” continues Snoke.
Set to the famous Imperial March tune, the clip features the familiar faces of Han Solo and Chewbacca as well as new leads Rey and Finn.
Harrison Ford returns to prove he’s still got the moves as he takes down a pesky Stormtrooper with one shot.
Resistance pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) can be seen in-flight, leading his crew into battle with a cry of, “All teams, give it everything you’ve got!”
A new snippet of John Boyega’s Finn sees him urge his side to run from the battle.
“You don’t know what I’ve seen. We all need to run,” he states.
In return, Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, affirms, “We must face them. Fight them,” before we see her neck centimetres from Kylo Ren’s red, snazzily-handled lightsaber.
The film is yet to be classified in the UK but has received a PG-13 rating in the US for “sci-fi action violence”.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will open in UK cinemas on December 17.
