TWO St Helens charities joined forces to host a family fun day which raised them £2,694.

Jenson's Twinkle Stars and Happy Hands were created by parents to help families which have suffered bereavement and have children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Hundreds turned out for the event at Ruskin Drive and the money will be equally divided between the two charities.

The charities founders Kelly Wellens and Joanne Lee said they were grateful to all those who helped and took part to make the day such a success.
