I HAVE been told that St Thomas of Canterbury School on Rainford Road want to start taking children aged from three and four from next term.
This could be a really big risk as Rainford Road is one of the busiest in St Helens.
Until a few years ago the school had a lollipop man on duty during school hours but the service was cancelled by the council as part of the cuts forced on them by the government.
In the interests of the safety of these very small children surely even in these times of cuts and more cuts some money could be found to restore the lollipop man service to that site.
Please St Helens Council for the extra peace of mind of all the parents at the school try and do this small but very important thing.
