IS IT too much trouble to be served in a shop these days?
I realise I may sound like a fuddy duddy, but I’m not that old and I like to think I can use new technology.
But self service tills in shops can really make my blood boil, particularity in cases when a shop assistant is facing me and does not serve me.
A recent example of this was on a recent visit to a hospital.
I was feeling pretty lousy, all I wanted was to buy a drink. But I was met by a shop assistant staring back at me, seemingly adamant I use the self-service till and not picking up on any vibes I was feeling confused or under the weather.
I can’t be the only person this bothers, as the bloke behind me in the queue was disgusted and walked off.
You can have all the technology in the world, but what price some customer service and a smile?
