A CHILDREN’S entertainer was on hand to give an anti-bullying message to pupils at Broad Oak.
Author and entertainer Lucia Davies held an assembly for the children at the Parr primary school.
Sshe performed her story ‘Pod’ about a small lizard, which has a powerful anti-bullying theme and allows children to interpret the story in their own way, opening doors for discussion about consequence for action, forgiveness and remorse.
The book is also designed to be a tool for parents and teachers to communicate the message.
Headteacher, Melanie Hignett, said: “It was great having Lucia at the school to get the message about anti-bullying across to the children, in a way which captures their attention by making it fun and by encouraging participation.”
