MY DAUGHTER has informed me that her school bus fare is rising from 50p a journey to 70p, making a weekly total of £7.
I racked my brains trying to think of a reason why this change would be necessary.
Fuel? It can’t be as price is continuing to fall
Inflation? No, as that is low and falling.
So what is the reason we’re having to fork out extra for these journeys?
I wouldn’t mind if the service was excellent, but it is not.
Twenty minutes they were stood waiting in the cold and wind one night.
The bus is so packed you are very lucky if you get a seat on some days.
I for one will definitely not be leaving my car at home and going by bus if this is the way they treat customers.
Do any parents out there feel the same way?
