AFTER watching one of the worst Saints performances I can remember against a mid-table Catalans Dragons I ask: where are the guts of this team?
When I look at Wigan, Leeds, Warrington and a team like Castleford I wonder what Nathan Brown is doing with this team.
He seems to be going for size in the pack but nowhere else. We cannot match any of the teams for size in the centres and wingers.
We find it hard to get out of our half off with our sets, there’s no invention in our play, we cannot put players down in the tackle and we do not play quick enough off at the ruck.
Our league position flatters us and in the coming weeks I’m sure we will slip and this situation will go on for more than this season.
It’s hard when you see all the other teams getting stronger and we’re still standing where we are six or seven years after our great teams.
I have no hope for this Saints team.
