The Eccleston Smithy Heritage Centre is staging a fascinating Murder Most Foul exhibition each weekend until September 14.
Vicky and Joanne, joint curators at the Centre tell me: “We like to do things a little bit different to other museums, so this year, we're looking at local crimes through history: how they were investigated, how the perpetrators were punished, and how newspapers reported them.
“There will be lots of associated activities throughout the season, including talks, walks, crafts, and even a murder mystery event.”
The Smithy is open every weekend between 1pm and 4pm, admission is free. More details at www.smithyheritagecentre.org.uk
