A MAN suffered suspected chest injuries and had to be cut free from a car after a two vehicle collision.
Fire crews were called to the incident on Blindfoot Road in Rainford at around 3.40pm on Tuesday (December 17).
They used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the 45-year-old who was taken to Whiston Hospital.
Another man, aged 52, was out of the second vehicle by the time firefighters arrived and he was also taken to hospital for a precautionary check up.
Crews were at the scene for just over an hour.
