A FEW light snow flurries have been crossing St Helens early this morning (Wednesday) but the rest of the day should remain fairly dry but staying cold with temperatures not getting much about freezing again.
Slightly milder weather should reach the area by the weekend, but the Met Office is predicting there is the potential for heavy snow ahead of that on Friday (Jan 25).
There is still a weather warning in place for ice and slippery surfaces on untreated roads and pavements for today.
