SAINTS brought a smile to the faces of Whiston Hospital patients young and old.
The rugby aces – led by skipper Paul Wellens and including new signing Willie Manu - did the pre-Christmas rounds at wards for children and older people.
They spread festive cheer by handing out Saints goodies such as balls, selections boxes and advent calendars Sally Duce, lead nurse at the Children’s and Young People’s Department said: “The children and young people were really excited to see their local rugby heroes.
“I’m sure that many of the parents, visitors and staff enjoyed the visit too.
“We all wish Saints a Merry Christmas and the very best of luck for the New Year.”
