STORES in St Helens town centre are opening late each night this week as they seek to attract a rush of Christmas shoppers.
The town centre appears to have been particularly busy with shoppers and a number of key traders have remarked to the Star how they are enjoying a successful festive period.
There is no charge for parking this evening as part of the council’s free after 3pm scheme.
However, closure times may vary throughout the Christmas shopping period and motorists are advised to check signs for details of closing times.
All town centre car parks (except the Millennium Centre car park) will be free on Saturday, December 22.
