STOCKTON Geoffrey Hugh 10.06.28 - 23.06.23 Hugh, formerly Deputy Headmaster at Culcheth High School 1963-98, passed away peacefully on 23/06/23 at Alexandra Care Home, Newton-le-Willows. Thank you to the staff there and at Whiston and Newton Community Hospitals for all their care. Hugh and his wife Ann lived for over sixty years in Newton-le -Willows where they were both active members of the community and St Peter's Church. Funeral to be held at St Peter's Church, Newton-le-Willows at 11.30am on Friday 14/07/23. Family flowers only. We said a last goodbye this morning to a man whose company I have always enjoyed; whom I liked, admired and respected; who was a generous and congenial host and who made the best four fruit marmalade ever. He will be sadly missed by my son and me.
