A THREE course rib tickler filled with festive funnies is on the menu in Colwyn Bay this Christmas.

Expect a Christmas cracker at this year’s December outing of month Comedy Club Stand-up at the Seaside with MC Dave Rothnie on Saturday, December 22.

Bookending the year with a return to Colwyn Bay is Lopez, the part-Welsh and part-Spanish comic who established himself as a favourite with a barnstorming set at the Station in January, will be headlining with a brand new festive set.

A frequent headliner in top comedy clubs all over the UK, Lopez has also performed sold-out solo shows at Edinburgh, Reading, Brighton fringe festivals as well as an extended tour of venues throughout Wales, consistently wowing audiences with his individual style and outstandingly high gag-rate.

Rothnie said: “He’s like the Michael Bublé of comedy, but funnier.”

He’s joined by Jenny Collier who since winning a new act competition in 2014 has established herself as one of the top acts on the circuit, and was recently seen supporting Jason Manford on his ‘Muddle Class’ tour.

Rothnie added: “Jenny is London-based but she’s from Bangor so luckily for us she’s driving home for Christmas.”

And in case you get too giddy with festive excitement, there is also support from the deadpan Patrick Draper.

There will be the usual audience joke competition, with the best two jokes winning a prize.

“It’s been a delight bringing live comedy to Colwyn Bay all year and the success is all down to our fabulous audiences, the comedians and the fabulous staff at the Station. Merry Christmas to everyone!”

Tickets are £12.50, to book visit the Station or contact Rothnie by calling 07903682303.
