A very dark and gloomy cloud has fallen on the UK as everybody’s favourite chilled-out baker – Selasi Gbormittah – has become the latest to leave The Great British Bake Off.
The 30-year-old banker, who was loved for his incredibly laid-back attitude and cheeky temperament in the tent – along with his cute relationship with previous contestant Benjamina Ebuehi – fell at the final hurdle before the finals.
Understandably, fans of the show were utterly devastated. Viewers took to Twitter en masse to write in capitals how upset they were.
It was just the saddest day on the social networking site. Perhaps even sadder than when Bake Off was revealed to be moving to Channel 4 without Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc.
Is it even as bad as Brexit?
Selasi may not have made it to the final, but he certainly has landed a permanent place in our hearts.
Sob.
