The Maze Runner: The Death Cure will reportedly begin filming again in February next year.
Production was postponed after star Dylan O’Brien was injured on set during filming for the third instalment of the YA franchise in March.
The 24-year-old, who plays lead character Thomas, reportedly suffered serious facial injuries after a stunt went awry on set in Vancouver, Canada.
Deadline reports that production was set to begin again in May this year but was pushed back to allow Dylan more time to recover. It will now begin in February 2017 in a different location.
The film’s release date was also pushed back from next February to early January 2018.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure concludes the popular trilogy and brings back stars including British actors Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
In the film, Dylan’s character Thomas must find the cure to a deadly disease known as The Flare that threatens to wipe out civilization.
