A NEW musical has been written to commemorate the end of the First World War.
Arnold Ashbrook, musical director of the Players of Sale, has written the tribute, focussing on 1918 and 1919.
When the Boys Come Home will tell in sketch and song how the Great War changed lives.
Arnold said: “As well as writing the script, I have composed a couple of new songs.
"I have also included popular songs of the time.” It will be performed at St Francis Church Hall, Budworth Road, Sale Moor on Friday, May 11, and Saturday, May 12, at 7.30pm.
Light refreshments will be served.
Tickets, priced £6 for adults and £4 concessions, are available from 07842 701 436 or email theplayerssale@hotmail.com
