FOLLOWING its sell-out success in 2011, hilarious scouse comedy The Ciggie Run returns to the Theatre Royal next month.
Starring local favourite, Brookside’s Louis Emerick, comedy lovers are invited to join Chrissie (Emerick), Franna and Lash as they plan a ciggie run to subsidise their income during the recession.
Each character has their own motivation for the run; Chrissie is doing his best to keep his creditors happy, Franna is doing his best to keep his wife happy while Lash is doing his best to keep Lash happy.
The Ciggie Run is smooth going until local gangster Fitzy discovers his unmarried daughter is destined for a stroll around Mothercare and the father to be is a young Cuban by the name of Fernando.
An ensuing flight turns into a hilarious comedy as The Ciggie Run gets under way.
The play runs from Wednesday, February 8, to Sunday, February 12.
Tickets are priced £15, with a Saturday matinee special price of £7.
Book in person at the Theatre Royal box office. Alternatively call 01744 756 000 or go online at sthelenstheatreroyal.com.
