TEENAGE indie band The Patriots are looking forward to their first headline gig at the Citadel this September which will see their first EP launched.

The night will see the young group's EP 'Lost in Lights' officially unveiled.

The four-piece group will also be supported by two other up-and-coming acts from the town, The Pretty Penny's and Counterfeit Faith.

The Patriots consist of lead vocalist Liam Abbott, lead guitarist Connor Duffy, bass guitarist Brad Owen and drummer Luke Burrows.

All four members of the Sutton leach group met wile they were pupils at St Cuthbert's.

"The EP is going to be either four of five songs and they have been working on this for the past 12 to 18 months," said band manager Daz Owen.

"They are such perfectionists and it is coming out on the launch on September 24."

The band added: "The night is about the three years we've spent as a band together. The songs, the lyrics, the melodies, are all a culmination of the work from day one.

"It is set to be a milestone in our career so far, launching our first EP titled 'Lost in Lights'."
