BLUES stars from both sides of the Atlantic will unite for a night of electrifying music.
The Citadel will host Mancunian Norman Beaker and Louisiana-born Larry Garner for what promises to be a sensational night of blues music.
Norman cut his gigging teeth in northern England with people such as Alexis Korner, Jack Bruce, Jimmy Rogers and BB King.
Larry, meanwhile, picked up on the Swamp Blues music popular in Louisiana, inspired by artists such as Silas Hogan and Clarence Edwards. He has won just about every award including the WC Handy and BB King awards.
Both of their songs are filled with social comment and modern-day situations.
This is a coming together of two troubadours with something completely new that should not be missed.
The night takes place on Friday, June 5 doors opening at 7.30pm. Tickets are £14 and for further information or to book call 01744 735436 or visit the Citadel website www.citadel.org.uk
