HI again folks, Simon T once more with all that's "Live in Glasstown".
Firstly, a little reminder for your diaries. There are only five weeks to go until St Helens’ very own Westfield Street festival and the line up is looking great with most of the venues involved finalising their schedules.
The opening parade is still under wraps but I am informed by my insiders that it will be just as spectacular as last year's samba parade.
Most of the local movers and shakers have been booked and more of that when everything is officially announced in the not too distant future. In case any of you are unsure of the big date, it's Sunday, June 7 and will be preceded in the days leading up to it with more events. Again more of that nearer the time.
Speaking of festivals a venue that has been a major supporter of live music outside the town centre area, The Red Lion, on Robins Lane, Sutton has released details of a big day of live music in support of The Willowbrook Hospice. The Red Lion music festival will be on Saturday, May 23 featuring nine local bands and will run from 12pm to midnight. Please go along and show your support for a great cause and our local bands.
