HI, Simon T here again. Last week I was indisposed so The Groover had a wander around some of our local venues to see what was going on, so over to The Groover.
As you know Mr T tries to cover all musical aspects so this week we are looking at the famously named, Sunday Duke Street shuffle! Every weekend The Roundabout and The Green Room have a full weekend of entertainment on offer. Sunday saw a fantastic female soul singer at the Roundabout named Justine, doing all the classics and contemporary material too. She was flying out for work in Tenerife the next day that's how good she is!
The Green Room next door featured local guitar and vocal duo PANIC a hard working great show covering classic rock favourites with a few oldies and up to date material too. Mike Macca has a powerhouse voice and Tony Pilling is an ace guitarist. What’s great about these boys is their energy and rapport with the audience. The Breeze Bar has regular acts on Sundays from eight until 11. Sadly I couldn’t fit that in this week so watch out for that! 'Till next time.
Thanks to the Groover there and here’s what's happening this coming weekend "Live in Glasstown".
