HI folks, Simon Trubshaw here again with this week's look at what's happening "Live in Glasstown".
As I was indisposed last week, our correspondent The Groover was out and about and checked out a few gigs last Friday. Over to you Groover: A cold Febuary night yet too good to resist. First port of call The Zoo bar, a double header opening with local alternate rock band Bandit and Butler with an energetic driving set, a mix of covers and very impressive originals great band look out for them.
Headliners Jeremiah Ferrari were as stunning as ever. This is my third time seeing them and once again they had me and the whole room unable to be still bopping to their mixture of Reggae, ska and Latin pop, ace musicianship and vocals. It's no wonder they have been touring with the likes of Madness and UB40.
Hats off to the Zoo Bar for getting everything right on a packed out night and sound man Dave Taylor for a great job done.
Last port of call The Rendezvous to see Parrot Fashion, with new member Andy Dixon who fits in a treat whilst bringing another dimension to the band a real wide range of covers. Go and see them, great night guaranteed.
So a cold February night two packed venues and two very entertained audiences. This music thing might catch on yet.
Laters, Groover.
