REGARDING The Who concert.
It was a great gig but the complaints are justified. I don’t know who organised the pricing, I assume it was The Who’s management but £80-£100 tickets were available online on the day for £8, £11 and £15.
More reasonably priced tickets in the beginning would have easily guaranteed a sellout but I don’t think that’s something we can blame Saints or the stadium for.
The marketing was also rubbish - when are you ever likely to see a legendary band like The Who play live in St Helens?
The fact that many local people didn’t even know the gig was on is a major issue that really needs addressing for future concerts.
