A DRIVE-IN movie experience is coming to a stately home near Warrington – all in support of The Christie.

Six films will be shown on the big screen between September 18 and 20 with the backdrop of Arley Hall, which is close to Appleton Thorn and Lymm.

The line-up includes Mamma Mia at 7pm on September 18, Disney Pixar’s Coco at 1pm, The Greatest Showman at 4.30pm and Skyfall at 8pm on September 19 and The Lion King (animated original) at 3pm and Bohemian Rhapsody at 7pm on September 20.

A spokesman for The Christie, one of the largest cancer treatment centres of its type in Europe, said: “With state-of-the-art sound, a huge100m HD screen, snacks available to buy and a fantastic selection of movies, The Drive-in for The Christie is the perfect answer to a socially distanced, socially bubbled night out.

“And what’s more, you’ll be supporting the staff and patients of The Christie.”

Tickets are £30 per car for up to five people.
