STEREOPHONICS tribute group The Phonics will be among those performing at Clone Fest this weekend.

Last year saw a spectacular sell-out show at Sherdley Park, and the music festival returns to Sherdley Park, featuring some of the best tribute bands in the country for a spectacular day of live music and festival fun.

As the event looks to follow on from 2018’s success, The Phonics, a tribute to Stereophonics will be among the acts hitting the stage at Sherdley.

Tributes to some of the biggest names including Kings of Leon, Kasabian, The Jam, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and the Beautiful South/Housemartins will also perform.

Meanwhile, headlining will be “The Fillers”, the official Killers tribute band.

DJ and host for the day will be the hugely popular Indie DJ Dave Sweetmore.

Last year’s event saw Stone Roses tribute The Clone Roses celebrate their 20th anniversary at a bouncing Sherdley Park as 4,000 turned out.

The success of the event has led to CloneFest returning again this year with the sell-out signs expected to be up again.

And while The Clone Roses are not taking to the stage this year, a host of top tribute acts are sure to make for another occasion to remember at Sherdley Park this time around.

Festival co-founder Gav Scott said: “The response from the first CloneFest was overwhelming.

“Selling out our first ever festival to 4,000 people was a dream come true and the feedback was so positive we decided that CloneFest should become an annual event.”

CloneFest is on Saturday, July 20 at Sherdley Park.
