OUR readers love to reminisce on the way things were in the town centre decades ago.
And here are a few images of landmarks from the 1950s that we can share with you, courtesy of the St Helens Through The Lens project.
The 10 month Heritage Lottery Fund supported scheme at St Helens Local History & Archives is exploring the images of the George Street Photography Collection.
The collection includes more than 3000 glass plate negatives that were originally discovered in a former photography studio.
