ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE BOROUGH OF ST HELENS (A570/A580 WINDLE ISLAND JUNCTION) ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th day of August 2018 the Council of St Helens made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that;

1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicles to proceed in either direction in the roads listed in Schedule 1 at such times and in such locations as shall be indicated by traffic signs.



2. No person shall proceed in either direction on the footways or cycle ways listed in Schedule 2 at such times and in such locations as shall be indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 6th August 2018 and have a maximum

duration of 18 months. However, the Order will only be used when it is

required for necessary roadworks to be carried out on the junction.

The reason for making this Order is to ensure safety and relieve congestion

when road works are taking place within the Borough of St Helens.
