THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST HELENS (TRAVERSE ST, TOWN CENTRE) (CYCLING CONTRAFLOW) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that St Helens Council, In exercise of Its powers under Sections 9, 10 and 11 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make an Order, the effect of which will be as specified In the Schedule attached to this Notice.
SCHEDULE PEDAL CYCLES CONTRAFLOW
ROAD
Traverse Street
LENGTH
The length of Traverse St which runs parallel with A58 Parr St, for a length of 80m
PERMITTED DIRECTION
From east to west

The above contraflow system is to allow for pedal cycles to travel in the opposite direction to motorlsed vehicles along the length of Traverse Street stated above.
The above restrictions will be Introduced for an experimental period of up to 18 months. The Council will, In due course, consider whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should continue In force indefinitely. The Order will come Into operation on 8th April 2021.

or by writing to the Traffic Engineering Section, Place Services Department, Wesley House, 4th Floor, Corporation Street, St Helens.
Any person wishing to object to the restrictions being continued in force indefinitely must do so in writing to the undersigned, stating the grounds of objection, within a period of six months from the date of the Order coming into operation.
