Notice of Proposal to Construct Sinusoidal Humps and Flat Top Raised Tables/junctions on King George Street, Mostyn Street, Plymouth Street and Woodland Street, Shotton.
NOTICE is hereby given by the Flintshire County Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980 as amended intends to construct Sinusoidal humps, Flat Top Raised Tables and raised junctions at the locations mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice.
This proposal consists of the installation of Sinusoidal humps, flat top raised tables and raised junctions at the locations as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice and will in all respects comply with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999. Reason for Proposal: Following a successful bid to Welsh Government, Flintshire County Council have been successful in obtaining funding to implement substantial safety measures to address congestion and reduce vehicle speeds experienced along the route to Ysgol Croes Atti and Ysgol Ty Fynnon, Shotton.

A N Farrow, Chief Officer (Planning, Environment & Economy). TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND ONE WAY / SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 VARIOUS ROADS
The Flintshire County Council has made an Order relating to the following roads in the County of Flintshire which will:
1 - Prohibition of Through Traffic

Prohibit any vehicles from proceeding in any of the following roads:
1. A548 Coast Road, Mostyn - between its junctions with Llinegar Hill and Dock Road;

2. Unnamed Road, Bwlchgwn - from its junction with Pen Y Nant to Wemgate Farm access;

3. Ffordd Eldon, Sychdyn - from its junction with Vownog;

4. Unnamed Road, Trelogan - between its junctions with Afon Goch Crossroads and Four Crosses;

2 - One Way Restriction

Make the following roads subject to a temporary one-way restriction, which will prohibit vehicles from proceeding: 1. In a south westerly direction B5441 Drome Road, Sealand - between its junctions with A548 Deeside Interchange Roundabout and Welsh Road;
During the period of the closures and restrictions, all streets in the schedules above will be subject to a temporary speed restriction which will prohibit vehicles from travelling at a speed exceeding 10 mph.
The reason for the closures is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and surface dressing with associated works by Flintshire County Council; Streetscene and Transportation.
The alternative routes for vehicles will be advertised on site by the use of prescribed signs.
It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 18 January 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter. The roads will only be closed/restricted until 31 st March 2021 according to the progress of the works and will be advertised on site by the use of prescribed signs, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of 18 months.
