ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BOLTON STREET, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2021 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians/cyclists from proceeding along:-
Bolton Street, Bury - northerly side footway/cycleway between Crostons Rd and the subway at the junction of Bolton St and Peel Way The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate electricity works
The alternative route for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be via Bolton St, southerly side footway The proposed Order will come into operation on 18/01/21 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 4 weeks.
