NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle (except cycles and those gaining access to residential properties) to proceed in either direction along the roads listed in Schedule 1, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
Schedule 1 - Prohibition of driving except cycles and access

Barton Close, Town
King Edward Road,
Cannon Street, Bold
Lyme Street, Earlestown
New Glade Hill,
Tennis Street North,
The Order will come into force on Monday 7th September, 2020, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate social distancing measures at primary schools located on the roads listed in schedule 1.
