METCALFE, Marie The family wishes to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for their cards, messages and many acts of kindness following their recent bereavement and for the many generous donations to The Macular Society. Thanks for the expert medical care provided by Ward 3 Alpha at Whiston hospital, to the lovely staff of Adamstan House during Marie's brief stay, and latterly to the wonderful staff at the Academic Palliative Care Ward (4Y) at the Royal Liverpool University hospital. Thank you to all who attended the funeral service at St Helens Crematorium. Particular thanks to Bill Woolland (Celebrant) for presenting such a tasteful and appropriately pitched service. Thanks also to Catherine of 'Daisy Designs' for the lovely Service Card. Thanks to the friendly and efficient staff of The Stanley Arms for their impeccable service and the quality of the refreshments. Finally a special thank you to the staff of Frank Dooley & Son for taking the burden from the family, organising the funeral and providing their traditional, courteous and very personal service.
