RONALD KNOWLES Died peacefully 6th February 2021, aged 91. He was the beloved husband of Joyce, proud father of Ian and Karen, doting grandfather of Thomas and Edward, older brother to Stuart, Dorothy, Margaret and William, welcoming father-in-law to Sinéad. Ron worked for many years as a chartered mechanical engineer with Pilkingtons, BICC and Carters before becoming a teacher at Whiston Higherside. A former president of St Helens Angling Association he was also well known at Greenalls Sports & Social club and the Regency and Silhouette dance clubs.
