Smoking’s banned in playgrounds ... now how about pesticides?
IT was great to see the article regarding smoking bans around play areas, protecting our children’s health is essential at an early age as their immune systems are still developing.
The councils should also take steps to stop pesticides/herbicides from being sprayed anywhere near parks, play areas and schools.
This will greatly reduce the impact of chronic health and cancers later in life, as pesticides build up and store in body fat over the years.
In some states in Canada, America, Australia and Paris, pesticides are banned from use near public areas.
It will only change if there is enough public pressure to do so.
