I got booked making a delivery to St Helens Central Library

THIS town of ours used to be a great place before the dark cloud that is traffic wardens entered our streets. I live and work in St Helens but last week found myself wondering what these people have turned our town centre into.

Having to deliver goods to the central library I found a great spot to park in a designated loading bay, next to the library.

On my return to my vehicle, a traffic warden was stood in front of the vehicle seemingly issuing a ticket.

On my challenge to this, he stated that he had to physically see me loading/unloading to prove that I was parked legitimately.

After a few more words, he stated that he was only doing his job.

Surely, in this country, we are innocent until proven guilty? Surely this isn't the rule that these traffic warden are adhering to in our town?

I think it's about time that traffic wardens either undergo a training overhaul or simply leave us in peace and close the department.

You can contest this you know.

I know someone who lives behind the town hall and they got a ticket for parking outside their house even though they were displaying a resident parking permit!!
