Who caused oil spill?

I SEE that St Helens Council have apologised for the inconvenience caused for the road closures around Rainhill Stoops due to the oil spill.

It's not them that need apologise, it's whoever is responsible for the spill!

Someone must be held accountable and publicly apologise for this. I can only begin to think of the thousands of pounds that this has cost businesses, not to mention people missing important appointments at hospitals, job interviews, and even delays in ambulance care.

Oh get over yourself. I was stuck in a two mile tailback in Widnes for well over an hour the day of the spillage.I was late for an appointment, that's life, accidents happen. I was angry and frustrated at the time but no one died for heaven's sake. People need to lighten up a bit and stop thinking someone owes them an apology or compensation at the slightest mishap.

Some one created that spill through being reckless yet we are all going to share a massive bill for replacing the road surface. PM is right. The firm/individual concerned needs hauling before the courts and the full costs extracted from them

I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose !

Not on purpose but if they cut corners in the packing or the loading or if they drove with out due care and attention or recklessly, they need to pay the price for their actions.

Accidents happen! There are worse things to moan about than a oil spill.
