JCB ‘driver’ on a mobile

I REMEMBER seeing a few letters in the Star recently about people driving while listening to mobiles.

But I reckon this one beats them all hands down.

Early on Monday morning last week when I was coming into work just after 7am, a Vauxhall Insignia was about to drive across the island between Lincoln House and the pub opposite when a massive JCB came steaming down College Street totally cutting up the Insignia.

And no prizes... the JCB driver had a mobile ‘glued’ to his ear, utterly oblivious to the potential accident he had almost caused.

Any CCTV footage of this? After all the stories in the Star about all the CCTV successes in St Helens, it must be fairly easy to track down this driver.

Star reader, Eccleston.
