kathkenny, st helens says...
We are writing because thank you is not enough to emphasise how St Helens Care Team have looked after our mother during this treacherous period of bad weather for the last three weeks or so.
We want everyone to know what a sense of duty these girls ( none of them are spring chickens ) have.
Mam has four visits a day, she is chairbound and can not even get herself a drink Nevertheless she has not gone without a visit even though Beck Grove Clinkham Wood has been practically impassable for weeks.
When the snow ploughs were out and public transport was off, these girls have walked! From as far as the top of the hill at Moss Bank and Haresfinch over the festive period in deep snow and ice.
One girl hauled herself up the grove using the privet hedge . I would like to name them all, but I wont in case I leave anyone out, they know who this letter is about. We bear in mind that this commitment has gone on everyday for years.
And while were about it we want to mention St Helens Council bus drivers.
