IN response to the consultation on Torus merging with Liverpool Mutual Homes, the amalgamation of existing housing associations to form a super housing association seems all the norm these days.
What happened to local accountability? This consultation exercise is simply ticking boxes as it seems it’s already been agreed behind the scenes.
What happens if most Torus tenants are not in favour? What impact will any merger have on allocation policies?
Why shouldn’t housing associations be run more on a cooperative model where every tenant has an equal vote on the big decisions like this?
