AFTER enjoying a great day out with friends in Liverpool, we decided to end our night in St Helens town centre.

On entering a pub, I noticed that a ‘wand’ had been left in the door way.
These ‘wands’ are meant to be in the possession of door staff to help to keep our town safe.

There was no door staff present. I decided to take the ‘wand’ to a police van as I did not want it to be in the hands of the wrong person.

Expecting a thank you from the officers, I was left bemused by their lack of interest in my concerns, with one officer laughing!

If this type of ignorance and lack of professionalism is what they see as supporting then someone needs to take a good look in the mirror.

The police want to be respected but in behaving in that manner, I have very little respect at all.

In addition, a uniform does not make someone a bigger or better person than me.
