I WOULD like to offer my sincere thanks to the Arriva bus driver, Ian Mather, who last Tuesday (December 5) stopped his bus (the number 20 to Earlestown) on Blackbrook Road when my wife, Susan Makin, suffered a cardiac arrest.
He did his best to assist and look after my wife when she went into cardiac arrest on his bus.
Many thanks also to the passengers for exiting the bus when we were trying to help my wife.
Susan was taken to Whiston Hospital, where they confirmed she had passed away.
I just want to pass on my gratitude to Ian and everyone who tried to help.
Norman Makin, Blackbrook
