LOCAL taxi drivers were given letters stating where they could and couldn’t pick up at the Reminisce Festival.

This was a joke as out of town taxis were turning up picking up anywhere, even in the areas we were told not to.

There was complaints from members of the public as these taxis were asking ridiculous prices to take the people home.

Some were wanting £60 up front for a £12 fare.

Local taxi drivers were left feeling annoyed as they couldn’t get anywhere near to pick passengers up.

The roads were gridlocked with out of town taxis, who should have only been picking up if they were booked.

As for the money they were asking for upfront off people just gives our town a bad reputation and isn’t good for the trade.
