IN response to the news about the next round of cuts that the council will have to enforce.
I’m not one to defend our council much but nationwide, local authority budgets have been cut by £18bn in real terms since 2010 — with at least another £9.5bn cuts coming over the next three years.
Also some people need to stop spouting the Tory and right wing press line that they are good with money.
Labour governments have always borrowed less and repaid debt more often than Conservative ones.
In fact Labour have always repaid more debt on average since 1924 and there was a World War during that time too.
