WITH regard to Forgotten Billinge, may I say that I agree fully  with the comments of Terry Sumner in the Star a few weeks ago.

I do not believe we should be building houses on green sites, we should be infilling on brown sites. I also agree that it is indeed lovely to go for a walk up to the top of Billinge Lump, the views are indeed magnificent.

In addition, how much more traffic can the main road (A571) between us and Wigan take.

Billinge does not have a bypass and it is subject to traffic jams and slow moving traffic at what we used to call rush hour, now from 3.30pm to 6.30pm and also in the morning.

Turning to where I live, as far as I am concerned we are Forgotten Moss Bank.

Nothing seems to have been done about the traffic along Moss Bank Road again mainly at rush hour, we are told that chicanes or humps create more pollution.

What are we going to do?
